Institute of Applied Philosophy and Religion

Equipping individuals with tools to make better-informed decisions about the ideas that govern how we live our lives.
Our goal is to provide an environment where genuine compassion is generated for all persons regardless of philosophical/religious persuasion—a place where ideas (not people) are examined and critiqued.
Our commitment is to being an educational resource to aid those on the great odyssey for truth, to help sharpen minds and protect people from the perils of accepting ideas on the basis of rhetoric and dishonest persuasion.

If you are interested in obtaining our resources, please contact us at ioapar@ioapar.com.

Please contact the Institute by email at ioapar@ioapar.com. If a group would like the help of an instructor, materials can be discussed/presented in the following formats: monthly discussion groups, weekend seminars, or weekly classroom lecture/discussions.

Materials:
Course packets are designed to enable individuals without philosophical training to critically read and evaluate the textbooks. Packets include précis or outlines of chapters, lecture outlines and homework assignments. Both the intellectual writing assignments and the existential experiments are designed to enable the individual to examine a particular philosophy/religion with both the heart and the mind. (Textbooks are to be purchased separately. Some are essential and others are simply recommended supplementary reading).

Homework:
Homework is adjustable to fit individual time constraints and varying levels of intellectual desirability ("courses are simply for personal enrichment"). You set your own pace in your individual quest.

Potential Locations (if the classroom or a larger discussion group setting is desired):
Mason High School, YMCA Clifton, and Old St. George (Clifton) one night a week.
(Other locations TBA)

Cost:
Course syllabuses vary in price. Discounts for orders of 3 or more.
